Sigh, sometimes, I wish I enjoyed school more. I'm always depressed when the weekend is almost over, especially when it was a 4 day weekend. Not only that, a good buddy of mine has been having a really sucky time at home. She's really upset and I haven't seen her in about a week because of this. If I get a chance to see her this week, I don't know what I can say or do to help her feel better.

On a lighter note, I dressed as Edward Cullen from Twilight for Halloween yesterday. It was the scariest thing I could think of at the last minute. Thanks goes to downtownpunk for helping me put the finishing touches on the costume. (Um, if I said I had photos of the costume, would anyone want to see them? >.> )

Now, I want recommendations. I've been trying to put some fancy lighting/coloring/anything effects to my icons, but anytime I follow a tutorial, it either looks absolutely horrible or nothing like it should. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what. Anyone have some tips or good, descriptive tutorials they would to share? I would really appreciate it. The programs I use are Photoshop CS4 and GIMP 2.6.6. c:

Ugh, just like the title says, I'm actually bringing myself to update my LJ. I'm still upset at myself for not updating this thing as much as I used too, but I've already ranted about that.

So, I went to a Baby Shower yesterday. It was fun, but still annoyed that didn't win a game involving Disney. All we had to do was name titles of their animated films. Well, you know how you can think of something any time you want except when it's actually needed? That's what happened to me. I had written down 24 titles. The actual winner wrote 26. When she was reading it out loud, one of the titles she mentioned was "The Princess and the Frog." At that moment, my sisters and I yelled _{(but not loud enough for anyone to hear)} "That movie's not even out yet! D:<" And I'd also like to mention that the cake was delicious. And super adorable.

Hm, I'm also thinking of getting rid of some of my icons. I mean, I adore them all, but I don't really use the majority of them.

_{I just finished the first Ace Attorney game yesterday. I'm fortunate to have found the game, but now I really want the sequels. :'< Also, I'm in a bit of an icon-making mode, I just don't know exactly what to icon. Any suggestions?}

I really need to read the rest of the Harry Potter books before the 6th movie comes out. I read the first 4 books, but when I got to the 5th book, I just...stopped. Not sure why. A certain someone keeps pestering me to finish. All I have to say to that person is: "Hopefully, I'll get them done soon. Hopefully. _{Please, don't kill me.}"

On another note, I keep listening to "The Neverhood" soundtrack. I absolutely love the music for this game, it's so unique and different.

Anyway, I was looking at the The Phobia List. There's a name for the fear of insects and a name for the fear of spiders, but...there wasn't one for the fear of cockroaches.

That's the whole reason I was looking at the list to begin with, to find the scientific name for the fear of cockroaches. I wonder why? There's plenty of people that are scared of them. There's also plenty of people that are horribly, terrified of those hideous, little creatures that they run out of the room screaming. _{That's what I do, at least...}

So, I decided to explore the interwebs for a possible explanation. I found some names, but they were just made up by random people. :|

I finally found something. It was an article about cockroaches. Reading about them isn't as horrible as seeing them, but this article just HAD to post a picture. Not just any picture. A CLOSE UP picture.

Yeah, that's about all I have to say. Once again, no cut.

After quite some time, I've decided to update my LiveJournal. I'm not so sure if it's going to be long or just a few sentences. I wonder what happened to my love for LJ? Anyway, as the first 3 sentences clearly state, my freshmen year of high school is coming to a close within Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. I still have to turn in my Biology textbook and take a few of the final exams, but they're only half days...so, yeah...

I've also been entertaining myself with various little tidbits: Comics (both web and book form), video games, urban legends, and others things that I can't remember at the moment. 8|

I have but one word to say:

WICKED

It was really, really good. I had a very enjoyable time out at the theatre _{If you don't count the technical difficulty that happened at the beginning of Act 2.} If anyone figures out "Wicked" is coming to town, I highly recommend you try to get a ticket. IT'S WORTH IT.

During the Open House of my High School, my group had decided to perform a Harry Potter themed tableau.

While in the middle of a Dementor scene, some ~~snot-nosed, little~~ boy felt the need to say, "Harry Potter stinks!" And I, without even thinking, retorted by saying, "F*CK YOU, KID!" This was shocking because, I don't curse.

Fortunately, no one was around to hear.

The only one I can find is SnagIT, which just looks like what I've been doing with Paint. (Plus, I have to pay for it.)

~~Cursed school, I don't update as much because of you.~~ Ugh, curse me and my inability to get anything of importance done...I really want to practice making icons or drawing or SOMETHING, but...I can't think of a way to finish that sentence.

After watching this video, I reminded myself of how much I love Tom Kenny. He's simply amazing, in my opinion, and I'm quite envious of what he does for a living. I mean, who doesn't want to make a living from performing comedy skits and doing voices of adorable cartoon characters?

Spongebob isn't one of my favorite characters he voices, but after watching this well,...I dunno, I just have a small place for that little, yellow kitchen sponge in my heart.
